Come along as we escape for a relaxing overnight tent camping adventure on a hot and humid 90° summer day in beautiful Battle Creek, Michigan! If you enjoy tent camping, campground camping, campfire cooking, outdoor cooking, camping recipes, relaxing nature sounds, and camping vlogs, this adventure is for you.
We set up our Altara Camping Tent and spend the afternoon relaxing beneath our new VEVOR 12′ x 12′ Octagon Gazebo, enjoying the peaceful sounds of songbirds while escaping the summer heat.
Before heading to camp, we stop by Isaiah’s Taste of Heaven LLC. for an incredible breakfast featuring delicious cupcakes, the best Banana Crème Cheesecake, and of course, a hot cup of fresh campfire cowboy coffee! ☕🧁
Next, we explore Historic Bridge Park in Battle Creek, Michigan, where we visit several beautifully restored historic bridges and enjoy one of southwest Michigan’s hidden gems before returning to camp. 🌉
Back at camp, it’s time for one of our favorite campfire cooking recipes! We prepare an incredible Dutch Oven Lasagna over the fire using our Bali Outdoors 2-in-1 Fire Pit Grill. Nothing beats homemade camping food cooked in cast iron over a campfire! 🍝🔥 We stay cool with our long-lasting rechargeable OGERY Camping Fans, enjoy a couple of cold beers 🍺, and unwind around the fire while soaking in another peaceful evening outdoors.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature had different plans. Overnight, a powerful thunderstorm rolled through with heavy rain, strong winds, and intense lightning. The weather became severe enough that we decided to end our camping trip early the next morning before breakfast. While it wasn’t the ending we hoped for, safety always comes first, and it was still another unforgettable camping adventure.
