VANLIFE: SOLO exploring Scotland – OFFGRID – CAMPFIRE COOKING

I set off in my campervan ‘Osmo’ to Scotland for a week of exploring and off grid van camping. I spent the first night near Beatock on a little gravel lay-by in the middle of nowhere. ‘Daisy’ my German Shepherd dog explored the local forest before heading further north to near Loch Lomond. It was not as wild a camping as I hoped as it was near a main road but we had a great hike and I had a lovely campfire using my Petromax Atago fire pit near a stream and no midges! . I made a delicious dinner and ended the evening sitting and relaxing by the fire with Daisy.

As a woman travelling alone, I never really feel worried when in my van. I have done alot of wild camping and so I am used to solitude and love it . I also have my German Shepherd who makes a very good guard dog too!
Thank you for watching!
