This was my first Boondocking trip of 2023! The weather is finally getting nice, and the roads are open in the Chippewa National Forest. I knew going into the weekend that a rainstorm would be passing through, but I didn’t expect it to last as long as it did. By Sunday morning I was worried that I wasn’t going to make it out of the forest. My fears almost came true when I took the shoulder to avoid a downed tree. My rear driver tire sunk into the mud and I was being sucked into ditch. Thankfully the truck camper held course and made it out of the forest to camp another day. I want to thank everyone who takes the time to follow along on my weekend adventures. I appreciate you! I’ll see you again next week.
