Solo Backpacking & Campfire Cooking – Pike National Forest
July 3rd – 4th 2019… Happy 4th of July!

After working a full day on July 3rd, I was able to get out into public land around 6:00pm. Even though the forest was busier than normal for the holiday, I hiked into a cool spot that overlooked the neighboring valleys, and didn’t see a single person after leaving my car!
