We are officially at SHOT Show 2026 (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade show) all of this week providing you all kinds of new product announcements from the hunting and firearms industries. To include with that, we were able to attend Industry Day at the Range to see Diamondback Firearms’ newest revolvers in the SDR-A .38 SPL+P (aluminum) and SDR 9mm+P revolvers.

Diamondback Firearms SDR-A .38 Special+P and SDR 9mm+P
Diamondback Firearms had a lot to show off at Industry Day at the Range including some new silencers, AR-15 patterned firearms, and a lot more, but what we were interested in is their new revolvers in the SDR-A .38 Special+P (aluminum construction) and SDR 9mm+P (technically not new, but we haven’t seen this revolver much in the “wild”). The SDR-A .38 Special+P had a robust, extended rubber grip to it, which made shooting hotter +P ammunition loads much more manageable. Also, the iron sights had a nice contrast with a bright, fiber optic front.
- SDR-A, 2″, .38 SPL +P, Glass Bead Finish | SKU: DB0800D711 | MSRP $614
- SDR, 2″, 9mm +P, Polished Stainless Steel | SKU: DB0700P701 | MSRP $789

The SDR 9mm+P revolver had a surprising bit of snap to it in its short grip and short barreled configuration. That being said, we were still able to achieve good hits while shooting at steel targets roughly 25 yards away at Industry Day at the Range. Being that this is an exposed hammer revolver, it gave us the option to cock it into single-action for more precise shooting as well, and the trigger had a nice, clean pull to it.

Final Thoughts
With the MSRP for the SDR-A .38 Special+P set at $614 and the SDR 9mm+P set at $789, these seem to be good quality revolvers at a decent price. It will be interesting to see in the future how much Diamondback Firearms looks to expand these lineups out into even more offerings.
