Shimano Launches NEW 2025 Ultegra FD Spinning Reel
Shimano North America Fishing aims to elevate the standard for high-performance spinning reels with great value with the new 2025 Ultegra FD. The Ultegra FD is built around Shimano’s InfinityXross technology. This works to extend the gear teeth surface of the cold-forged HAGANE gear so it evenly distributes force across the mating surface. Giving the gearing enhanced durability for the life of the reel. Then, for seamless cranking power, the InfinityDrive technology reduces the friction between the spool shaft and pinion gear, so even under heavy load, the reel still winds effortlessly. On top of these premium features, the reel also comes with Shimano’s Anti-Twist Fin, a flexible polymer fin on the bail arm that helps ensure even line lay and reduces the possibility of wind knots occurring. Lastly, Shimano’s X-Protect technology protects the reel from water intrusion, making it a great choice for saltwater and freshwater anglers.
