We recommend that you make a color swatch containing all the MAL yarns, and wash it to check if the colors bleed before you start your project 🎨 Make sure to only soak the swatch lightly in lukewarm water. We recommend around 5 minutes and then blocking it to see if you get the right gauge after washing 🥰
The yarns shouldn’t bleed but in some cases a bit of bleeding can occur. If it does, here’s a tip, you can try:
☝️ Soak the project (or your yarn) in a basin of cold water with 0.5 to 1 cup of white vinegar or a dye catcher sheet, let it soak for max 30 mins, then gently rinse in cold water, block your project (or lay out the yarn) on a towel or your blocking mats, and let it dry.
