The large flower bloom engraved on the barrel breech matches designs seen on forward frame panels of deluxe Henrys.
This cross-pollination of designs wasn’t coincidental—both T.J. Stafford’s firm and New Haven Arms Company operated in New Haven, Connecticut, making Hoggson a natural choice for local gunmakers seeking exhibition-quality engraving.
