Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day! This one is particularly exciting for me because I actually had the chance to shoot one of these little guys. This is a Bravermann Pen Pistol. These Pen Pistols were available in the 1990s and retailed for around $100. They were made in 22 long rifle and 25 ACP. There was a 380 cap barrel available, but it was only to be used if carried for self-defense since the barrel would eventually destroy the function of the pistol. Owning a 380 barrel would void your warranty.
I got to shoot a 25 ACP version and it was somewhat terrifying. The recoil was fairly stout since there really is not much meat there to add weight. These pen pistols are not considered NFA items since they have to be made to look like a gun before firing.
“With nylon belt pouch and additional 16 1/2″ threaded barrel with attached Barska 3-7×20 scope. Consignor states the 16 1/2” barrel is a prototype and only two are known to exist.
