NEW PENN Carnage III Boat Conventional West Coast Series Rods
PENN has brought out a new series of conventional boat rods to add to its Carnage III line of rods, the new Carnage III Boat Conventional West Coast Series Rods. A new series of Carnage III rods that is made of seven new rods made to meet the needs of the West Coast anglers and their specific fisheries. This includes four specialized rail rod models that are longer and more robustly built to keep anglers from being undergunned on the rail while fighting those big West Coast bluefin and yellowfin tuna.

In recent years there has been a surge of big tuna being caught on the West Coast, with 100lb+ bluefin becoming a regular occurrence on the tuna boats. To adapt to these big tuna the West Coast anglers have adapted their gear and fishing style to the big fish. That is where rail rods come in, sturdier long rods that have a longer front grip section. These rail rods are built so anglers can use the rails on the long-range tuna boats to fight these tuna with incredible efficiency, which is very important with so many anglers on one boat. The four Carnage III rail rod models are built on a 7’6″ SLS3 construction blank, equipped with high-end rod components like Fuji HB-series guides, Sea-Guide aluminum reel seats, and custom Hypalon and rubber shrink tube handles. Besides just the rail rods there are three other West Coast fishing-style centric boat rods as well, ranging from a 80 lb sinker rig models to heavier, longer, and general-purpose boat rods.
