This month, I teach my daughter how to use a ferro rod and birch bark to start a campfire, and then show her how to cook bacon and steak on it! We had a lot of fun, and Kiley learned that starting and maintaining a fire is a lot of work, but it’s totally worth is when you can cook some tasty food!
