PENN a leader in the fishing reel industry has done it again for ICAST 2024 with the very first cordless electric fishing reel. The new Fathom Cordless Electric lever drag reel comes with a built-in battery to provide anglers tons of torque and power needed for winching up those deep water giants when deep dropping. So no cords keeping you stuck in place or failing on you while you got 1100ft of braid out. Alongside the integrated battery, the Fathom Electric Reel features an integrated LED display screen and angler-friendly customizable settings.

The new Fathom Cordless Electric has been designed with power and efficiency in mind, coming with a max winding power of 35 lbs (15.9 kg) and a top line-retrieve speed of up to 750 feet per minute (fpm), varying by the reel size. Built with versatility in mind, these new reels are comfortable to use in multiple roles, from deep-dropping activities, reaching depths of up to 1000 feet, to being a kite reel for kite fishing, and even light trolling scenarios. The new Fathom Electric reel is going to be offered in 30, 50, and 80 sizes and has several additional accessories such as extra batteries, and 4-bank battery chargers for quick charging on the go. MSRP for the reels ranges from $799.95 to 899.95, and the reels should be available this September.
