HE TRIED TO GET INTO MY TENT | Solo camping in Kazakhstan

What was this saying again? Never regret a day in your life. Good days give happiness, bad days give experience, worst days give lessons, and the best days give memories.

I’ve had uncountable wonderful experiences since I started traveling almost one year ago. Today was a day to learn a lesson.

The way I travel (hitchhiking, camping in the wild, going home with locals) is risky, I know that. But I’m willing to take this risk in order to experience raw travel moments. Until this day I’ve always been rewarded with unique memories and a lot of friendships. And this bad experience won’t stop me from doing what I love. But it shows me that in some situations it’s better to follow a few guidelines and not share every piece of information with a stranger. Being very friendly sometimes can be misinterpreted.

My goal with this story is not to scare other women from traveling alone. Quite the opposite. I am still a big advocate and still think that this way of traveling is the most fulfilling. I see it as a training to improve my gut feeling and I hope that other traveler that watch this video can prepare better for worst cases without taking away the desire to travel.

What are your thoughts on this? To the girls out there: What precautions do you take to be safer? Anyone wearing a fake wedding ring?💍
