Cooking $200 Wagyu on a Campfire… Bad Idea?

I returned to the exact same spot where I did my very first solo camping trip… but this time, everything was different.

To celebrate 1 year of solo camping, I challenged myself to cook the most expensive campfire dinner I’ve ever made – $200 Japanese Wagyu beef – deep in the wild. What was supposed to be a special anniversary trip quickly turned into a fight against extreme wind, with my tent nearly blowing away.

I also spent time fishing, reflecting on how much I’ve learned over the past year, and sharing this experience with my family out in nature.

This video is about growth, challenges, and how far you can come in just one year of solo camping.

Gear used in this video:
Tent: Hilleberg Anjan 2GT
Saw: Silky Big Boy
Campfire pan: 30 cm Gillet from Dalum

If you enjoy solo camping, campfire cooking, outdoor adventures, bushcraft, and peaceful nature experiences, this one is for you.
