Campfire Cooking. Grilled Salmon with Potatoes. Cast Iron Baking.

In this video, I am finally back out in the woods with Maggie, my old faithful Newfoundland.
We are doing a bit of cooking, so after collecting and processing some firewood, I set about preparing our feast.

I begin by preparing the potatoes, sliced and layered with onion and smoked Dorset Halloumi, dressed with oil and seasoned with . The potatoes are then cooked in my cast iron – working a bit like a dutch oven, it cooks spuds to perfection.

The salmon is grilled simply on my grill, skin side down, then turned to finish towards the end of cooking and smothered in a delicious Japanese inspired Mausu paste.
