I’ve finally had my first ever go with Jiffy Pop… and honestly, I feel like I’ve just participated in a science experiment from 1973.
As a Brit, I’m used to chucking a sad little bag of popcorn in the microwave and hoping it doesn’t come out smelling like burnt regret. But THIS? This is theatre. This is drama. This is me stood over the trangia, gently shaking what looks like a UFO, waiting for it to either make popcorn or achieve lift-off.
I found it on the @American Fizz website where i buy all my imported goodies.
At first I thought, “this is easy.” Then the foil started expanding and expanding! Then suddenly I’m in a full-blown staring contest with a rapidly inflating silver balloon.
End result? Actually banging popcorn. Slightly smoky, slightly chaotic, but worth the emotional damage.
