Beer Battered Fish and Chips Cooked on the Campfire. Homemade Tartare Sauce. Cast Iron Cooking.

In this video, I head off to the woods to do a bit of – traditional English beer and chips cooked in a with homemade (woodsmade) tartare sauce and mushy peas.

After gathering firewood, I get a nice fire lit and begin to prepare everything. I am deep frying the , so a bit of care is needed with the hot oil to avoid burns and a chip-pan fire! It is always a good idea to have a damp cloth or tea towel at hand to smother the pan if it does catch fire! I had my wool shirt close by just in case.

Fish tastes so good battered and deep fried, so it is worth taking the extra steps to make a nice batter – this one has beer in it to create air bubbles for that light and crispy crunch.

I hope you enjoy the video.

Thanks for watching.
