Bearman 9mm Derringer Review. Worst Gun Ever?

(Image: Screenshot from video)

In this video by mixup98, he shows us a gun he boldly calls the worst gun he ever bought, and even claims it has the worst trigger of any firearm on Earth.

Now I have experienced some truly abominable triggers, but the worst on the planet? Wow.

It’s a Model BBG9 two-barrel derringer chambered for 9mm Luger. And boy, does he hate it.

Y’know I don’t cuss in my videos, but man this thing… it’s bringin’ out the cuss in me okay?”

It’s an interesting review, and I keep seeing and hear things I don’t like… such as the fact that the trigger doesn’t move straight rearward; instead it pivots downward quite a lot. And he’s wrong when he points out the trigger pivot point; it clearly pivots about the smaller pin farther back on the gun… but that doesn’t change the fact that the geometry is all wrong on this thing.

The is difficult to cock, and even more difficult to fire — he said neither his wife nor daughter could fire the thing!

At a mere five yards, both barrels hit about a foot high and a few inches left — and the gun clearly hurts his hand each time he shoots.

Oh, and the firing pin pierces primers — except when it hits them too lightly to fire the round.

With no , you have to either claw out the empty cases by hand or shove them out by cramming something down the barrel from the muzzle.

And then there’s the fact that the bore is apparently grossly oversized, because at just four yards, the bullets are tumbling and “keyholing” the target (striking the target sideways).

In the end, we are pretty much convinced that this derringer is probably the most useless gun ever… and the manufacturer clearly agrees, because the manual instructs users to never carry it with a round in the chamber!

‘Nuff said.
