🔥 Campfire Chicken Fajita-Stuffed Bread – Crispy, Cheesy & Fire-Grilled!
In this episode of Campfire Feasts, we’re making a smoky, cheesy, chicken fajita-stuffed bread — cooked entirely over an open fire. It’s the perfect blend of fire-grilled flavor and comfort food, ideal for your next camping trip or backyard fire.
No kitchen, no oven — just flames, cast iron, and real flavor. Let’s get cooking.
⸻
🥖 Ingredients:
• 1 large rustic loaf or baguette
• 1 chicken breast (sliced thin)
• ½ red bell pepper (sliced)
• ½ green bell pepper (sliced)
• ½ onion (sliced)
• 1 tsp paprika
• ½ tsp cumin
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella works great)
• 1 tbsp oil or butter
• Optional: chili flakes, lime juice, fresh cilantro
🔥 Instructions:
1. Prep the Filling:
Heat a cast iron pan over the campfire. Add oil, then sauté chicken with spices until cooked through. Add bell peppers and onion. Cook until soft and slightly charred.
2. Hollow the Bread:
Cut the top off the loaf and scoop out some of the inside to make room for the filling.
3. Assemble:
Layer cheese inside the bread, then stuff with the chicken fajita mixture. Add another layer of cheese on top.
4. Wrap & Grill:
Wrap the stuffed bread in foil and place near the coals or on a grill rack over the fire. Turn occasionally and cook for 10–15 minutes until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted.
5. Serve:
Unwrap, slice, and enjoy that crispy, smoky goodness.
