Shimano’s NEW 2025 10K and 14K Stella SW D Spinning Reel
Shimano North America Fishing is raising the bar on saltwater spinning reels once again with the new 2025 2025 10K and 14K Stella SW D. Aiming to make the ultimate saltwater spinning reel for fighting and landing the biggest gamefish, the new Stella SW D is crammed full of features designed for offshore anglers who demand peak performance. At the heart of the reel is the Shimano cold-forged HAGANE Gear, which features InfinityXross technology. This gearing system distributes the load evenly across each gear tooth for unmatched durability and smoothness.

These spinning reels debut the new XX Tough Drag system, a large drag washer design, and an advanced heat dissipation system that ensures peerless drag durability and smoothness during long, intense battles with big fish. Complementing the tough drag is the new Heatsink Drag, which pulls heat from the spool to minimize heat transfer to the line during long fights. This ensures better line strength and longevity. Along with those new features, the reels also come with InfinityLoop tech, the Anti-Twist Fin, X-Protect, and many more. These features make this reel one of the toughest fishing reels available. MSRP for both reel sizes is $1100 and should be available from Shimano dealers later this year.
