Agency Optic System Gets Adapted to Springfield 1911 AOS Pistols
The Agency Optic System (AOS) is a red dot mounting solution that was made popular on 2011-style handguns – including Springfield Armory’s very own 1911 DS Prodigy – and now it is making its way to their standard 1911 pistols as well. You can now get 1911 AOS pistols via the Emissary, Operator, and Ronin handgun lines.

What is the Agency Optic System (AOS)?
Developed in collaboration with Agency Arms, AOS employs a series of plates that accommodate a wide range of the industry’s most popular red dot sights following the RMR, Shield, Delta Point Pro and Docter footprints. This flexibility allows shooters to configure their handguns according to their unique preferences for optimal performance.
At the time of launch, the 1911 AOS offerings of pistols include the 1911 Emissary, the 1911 Operator and the 1911 Ronin. All three are offered in both 9mm or .45, and also in 5” and 4.25” configurations. Of note is the fact that the new 1911 Operator 4.25” AOS — in both .45 or 9mm, and featuring a lightweight aluminum frame — is a new addition to the Operator line.
