Greetings from the riverbank. This video is a compilation of two different campsites (on the same boat trip). I took my Nunatak tent, with the idea of trying out a couple different styles of sleeping cots to see which would work best in configuration with a woodstove. I hope to demonstrate the results to you in September when I haul the outfit about 85 miles up the Yukon River.
This is a tension tent, meaning it must be staked to the ground before raising the center pole. It is an extreme, cold-weather tent but for strict winter camping I still prefer the flexible-pole models, like my Arctic Oven Igloo.
I enjoy discussing camping and survival equipment and plan to run series of short videos this winter, reviewing some of my favorite gear. I think you will enjoy them.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Peace.
